Monthly challenge rules

Last updated 1 November 2026

The monthly challenge has not started yet. These rules show how it will work. We will confirm the final rules and the first challenge date in the app before anyone can enter.

Who can enter

Prizes

Each month there are 15 prizes of £100: one for each of these groups.

Year group Subjects
Year 10 Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English Literature
Year 11
A level (Year 12 and 13)

You can enter each subject you take. There is no cash alternative or swap for a different prize.

How it works

  1. The challenge runs on the last weekend of each month, UK time.
  2. You get one official 2-minute attempt for each of your subjects.
  3. Your score is the number of correct answers minus the number of wrong answers (lowest score 0). Skipping a question does not count against you.
  4. The highest score in each group wins.

If there is a tie

  1. The student with the higher accuracy (correct answers out of answers given) wins.
  2. If still tied, the tied students play a tie-break round.

Winners are never picked at random.

Fair play

We check results before giving out prizes. If we find cheating, such as getting help from someone else, using more than one account, or using tools to answer questions, we will remove that entry and may close the account. Our decision on results is final, but you can always ask us to explain it.

Apple and Google

Apple and Google are not sponsors of the monthly challenge and are not involved in it in any way.
